What You Say

God created everything with words. He spoke and it was. We are created in His image and when we give our hearts to Him and become a born again child of God, then we are like our Father. Our words when aligned with His word and His will can make our lives better. We choose. Every moment of every day we choose our thoughts, our words, our actions and we are what we have been saying about ourselves. If we don’t like it then we can change it. Did you know that “repent” simply means “changing your mind”? So we change our mind and we tell God: “I missed it, I repent, I have changed my mind and I want Your will for my life, in my life.”

According to Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Psalm 136 says, “…for his mercy endureth for ever…”

By His great mercy He has made a way for us. In Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” By confessing with our mouth-with words-we are saved if we believe the truth about Jesus. Jesus died once and for all. His action and the power of His blood are powerful enough so that He took care of everything in that action, in that great sacrifice that He chose to do for us. It’s done, it’s finished.

In 1 John 1:9 the Bible says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” God’s mercy endures forever. We confessed with our words from our mouth. We spoke it aloud and He comes swooping in with His great mercy and says I’ve cleansed you, forgiven you and it will last forever, it will endure forever because My mercy endures forever. Hallelujah!

If you haven’t received Him you can do that now by opening your mouth and saying out loud, “Father, I repent of my sins, I know that Jesus Christ took them all on the cross and I am now saved forever.” Isn’t God wonderful? He loves us so much!

Along with salvation and eternal life with Him in Heaven, we have healing, health and wholeness. He took 39 stripes for our healing – all 39 categories of sickness and disease were accounted for at that whipping post 2,000 years ago, before we were even born. He took all sickness, illness, disease on His back for our healing, health, and wholeness. Then He went to the cross – nailed there and took all of our sins upon Himself. He said “It is finished.” and He died and went to Hell for 3 days and nights and was victorious over all evil. He took the keys to Hell, Death, and the Grave. He came out victorious for us and a little while then He ascended into Heaven to rule and reign forever. He took sin and has the keys to death, so we have Eternal Life. He took sickness and disease so we are made healthy and whole. Wholeness includes every part of our life including finances.

The crown of thorns on His head symbolize the poverty and lack that He took for us. He took poverty and lack so we are made rich. God’s mercy endures forever!
